Hollywood D’lush, Deluxe Beverage Joint

R0014171.jpgDesign matter more than content. No, both have to be good to make a living nowadays. Strolling around Hollywood, I came across this beautiful and elegant design of this small beverage shop.

This shopping mall located adjacent to the Hollywood Chinese Theater and where D’lush is located. Hollywood has changed for the better. In the 80’s it was not a place for family. Hotel for the night is The Roosevelt Hotel at the cabana. Poolside Tropicana Bar and Club Teddys is one of Hollywood’s most sought after party club frequented by celebrities. I think I met I met that child actress who crash her SL55 on Sunset Blvd. after drinking here.

2008 FCJ Niigata Touring

2008-08-fcjtripdata.jpg

Started early morning from Tokyo and 5 hours later arrived in Niigata, where we rested at the Ikarashi House, an estate owned by a wealthy family has on his lot a wedding hall, 3 restaurants, bakery, brewery and gift shop. After this we drove up the coastline. See the trip data below, sorry it’s in Japanese. After this we were off to the onsen in Yamagata.

The drive was approximately 10 hours one way, so minimum of 20 hours and 1,000km on the road. There was a heavy storm and we drove across Japan at unreal speeds.

San Francisco

A quick trip to SFO for some business. My Tunewear AMBASSADOR case is handy for hanging my iPod in the plane so it does not slip underneath the seat and get smashed when I set it back. Stayed at the W Hotel, always good to be here and meet friends and business partners.

Gora Kadan Hakone Onsen

2008-01-06-gorakadan.jpg

Gora Kadan is one of the prime onsen (hot springs) bath and hotel in Hakone. Frequented by international celebrities, the SPA and the bath is said to be one of the best in Japan. Hakone is a nice 2 hour drive from Tokyo. You can also take the train from Shinjyuku.

Hong Kong Tunewear New Office

Just rented this cool office in Hong Kong. Previously used by LG electronics, we go the bar, the furniture and things for free. What a deal, good job guys. Everyone seems to be happy here with controllable air conditioning, view of the ocean and islands and more. I mention controllable air conditioning because most office buildings close to the ocean forces very low temperature even during winter to fight off the humidity and sea salt water corrosion by keeping the buildings freezing cold. One of the reasons I worked out of my house in Hong Kong.

New office search in Japan is taking me to many interesting properties. This one was a wedding hall, 3 story high and with a kitchen.
